The Telluride Blues and Brews Festival is one of the most diverse music festivals in our area.  Majestic mountain peaks loom above the festival park creating world class acoustics through out the valley.  The 15th annual Blues and Brews Festival is quickly approaching on September 12th, 13th and 14th 2008.  This year the musical line up is as diverse and amazing as ever with the raw voice of Joan Osborn and the classic sounds of John Hiatt on Friday night.  Saturday night the world class lineup continues with John Butler Trio from Australia, G. Love and Special Sauce, and the extraordinary jams of Gov't Mule.  The final day of the festival is headlined by Etta James and the Derek Trucks Band who has been named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the new guitar gods. Along with the great music the festival features 56 microbreweries at the festival for the Saturday Beer tasting.  The Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa is fortunate to be located so close to such a world renowned festival.  We enjoy having our guests come back from the festival and gush about the amazing musical acts they have experienced throughout thier day and weekend.  At this time the Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa does still have some limited availability over this festival weekend.  We are currently offering all of our festival guests Orvis Hot Springs passes to enjoy over thier festival weekend if they need to get away from the crowds and relax.  Here's to another year of great music!
